We celebrated the launch of Chester SANDS with a Swish (Ladies’ clothes swap) and Shop Evening at Upton Golf Club on 15th May.
Swishing is a trend which is getting increasingly popular – you bring along clothing sitting unloved at the back of your wardrobe and exchange it for something you love. It’s a great way to rejuvenate your wardrobe, and its ecofriendly too! About 80 people came along to the event, we had a fantastic evening, raised around £700 and helped to raise local awareness of stillbirth and neonatal death.
Lots of local businesses attended such as Hair and Nail Spa, Tropic Skincare, Body Shop and Glitterbugz so that ladies could treat themselves to cosmetics, skincare, hair and nail products and jewellery.
Thanks to everyone who made this event such a success! The money raised will help us to keep our monthly support group running as well as providing support leaflets to the Countess. We hope to help provide facilities to the Bereavement Suite at the Countess in the near future.
